Needles-n-Pins Stitcheries: Vintage Spring

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter spending time with family and friends. Spring is in full swing so I thought we would start the Springs season by doing some decorating with vintage Spring items from Etsy.

Here is a cute little chick from PamelasCottage. Love the yellow color and look at those eyes!

Look at the beautiful colors in this print from WHaroldHancock. I just love all the pastels. You could hang this on your wall to bring a little of the outdoors in. :)

Oh my.....what beautiful lavender flowers on these tea cups from TimesPast72. If you don't want to just have them as tea cups, I know some people use tea cups to put fancy pin cushions in them also. You might want to try that.

Talk about relaxing under a tree! Makes you want to just jump into this figurine and relax. This is from KitschyCollection.

So these are a few vintage items I found that you could use for getting a start on your Spring decorating.

Have a great week!

Colleen :)

Needles-n-Pins Stitcheries: Wool Spring Candle Mat Tutorial

I have just got started doing wool applique candle mats and it is so fun! I have been a quilter for many years and applique is my favorite. I saw so many really neat patterns for wool applique so I thought......hmmmmm......I need to try that. This pattern from Sew Felt is such a pretty pastel spring pattern that I thought I would share it with you. :)

Happy stitching!

Needles-n-Pins Stitcheries: Easter Egg Mug Rug Tutorial

Man oh man....I just noticed that Easter is early this year! Time just keeps flying along. Looks like we need to get our Easter decorating done a little earlier this year. There still are a couple of weeks before Easter so you still have time to make this cute little egg shaped mug rug from Sew today Clean tomorrow. Very easy and quick so you can use that Easter fabric stash to make several of them. :)

Happy sewing!

Colleen :)
